When chopping up sticky ingredients, it can be a pain when the ingredients are sticking to your knife instead. When you know you’re going to be chopping up things that will stick a lot, give your knife a quick spray of nonstick cooking spray. This will help keep the ingredients from sticking to your knife and won’t coat the ingredients with cooking oil, which is another alternative.
You can also help prevent sticking by dicing ingredients instead of chopping them randomly. With dicing, you will chop the ingredients into thin strips in one direction and then turn it 90° and then chop it in the other direction to create tiny squares.
