Keep your potatoes from sprouting

When there are great deals on the huge bags of potatoes, it can be disheartening to discover the entire batch has started to sprout. Especially when it is so much more economical to buy in the larger pound bags than it is to buy a few the time, finding that no-sprout trick can save a lot of money.

To keep your potatoes from sprouting, all you need to do is toss a couple inexpensive apples in the potato bin. Surprisingly, two or three apples will keep your potatoes from sprouting, the you have nice potatoes whenever you need them - so long as you remember to buy more when you're running low.
