How often have you gone to grab a cup or measuring cup only to discover two are tightly stuck together. When gentle pressure doesn’t release it and you don’t really want to run the risk of breaking it, here is how to separate the two safely.
First, fill the top glass with ice cubes. Then, place the bottom glass or measuring cup in a bowl of warm (but not boiling hot!) water. The differences in temperature will cause the glass to react and enable you to gently separate them apart.
If they are still not sliding apart, you can add a small amount of cooking oil between the two, then repeat the ice water trick.
