This simple recipe follows a simple ratio for each 1 cup of white sugar you need.

Ingredients
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
For light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp molasses
For dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp molasses
Instructions
- Combine sugar with the appropriate amount of molasses for the role of brown sugar you would like in a mixing bowl.
- On medium low speed, begin mixing. As molasses is mixed into the white sugar, you can raise the speed.
- Continue beating until it becomes brown sugar, about 8-10 minutes.
