Did you know that you can grind your own meat in a food processor without buying any attachments? You don’t need to buy a meat grinder to make ground beef, chicken, turkey or pork.
First, cut the meat of your choice into 1″ cubes. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for about 20-30 minutes, until they are starting to freeze on the outside edges.
Fill your food processor about half way full of meet cubes and pulse for 1 second, repeating about 8-10 times or until coarsely ground. Empty into a bowl and repeat with remaining cubes as needed.
Double check after grinding to ensure there are no large pieces that need to be reground, and grind as necessary.
Use the ground meat immediately or freeze what isn’t needed for later use.
