Chances are you have cooked something in microwave -such as the standard culprit of spaghetti or spaghetti sauce only to open the microwave at the end of cooking to discover a massive splatter mess in all surfaces of the inside of the microwave.
There are a few ways to cook food in the microwave without causing the huge mess.
First, buy a splatter cover. These plastic microwave safe covers sir over your plate or bowl in the microwave and any food that splatters will go on the inside of the cover instead. Then you simply pop them in the dishwasher to clean which is much easier than cleaning the inside of the microwave itself.
The other way is to simply cover with a paper towel for something that needs a quick reheat. This isn’t advised for anything that takes a long time to cook.
If you are heating something in a bowl you can use silicon bowl covers, if they are microwave safe. They won’t work on plates though since they cannot rest on the food while cooking.
