What is a summertime barbeque without enjoying some freshly picked corn alongside your steak and baked potato? But for something that seems to easy, people either end up overcooking or undercooking their ears of corn. Here is how to get the perfect corn on the cob.
First, remove the husk and ask much of the silk as possible. You can leave the stem on (a great handle!) or remove it to make it easier to fit into the pot. Bring a pot of water to boiling – ensuring there is enough to cover the corn – then add the corn, being careful not to splash yourself. Then boil for 5-10 minutes, depdning on how soft you would like your corn, ten minutes being the most soft. Remove from water, add butter and/or salt as needed, and serve!
