M&M Cookies in a Jar
These make a great
fun gift for your kids to give to classmates.
Wide-mouth jar
(quart sized)
1-1/4 cups sugar
1 cup M&Ms
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Mix together flour,
baking soda and baking powder together. Then layer sugar,
then M&Ms then flour mixture. As you add each layer, pack
it down firmly.
For jar gift tag:
Preheat oven to 375º. Empty the M&M cookie mix in
large mixing bowl; stir mixture to combine ingredients. Add
3/4 cup softened butter or margarine, 2 slightly beaten eggs
and 1 tsp. of vanilla; mix until completely blended together.
Roll dough into
small 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased
cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 12 to 14 minutes or until
edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet,
then place cookies on wire racks to until completely cool.
Makes: 2-1/2 dozen M&M Cookies.
