Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookies in a Jar

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chocolate covered raisins
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1-3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt together. Then layer sugar, brown sugar, chocolate covered raisins (ie. Glosette Raisins) then flour mixture. As you add each layer, pack it down firmly.

For jar gift tag:
Preheat oven to 375º. Empty the Chocolate Covered Raisin cookie mix in large mixing bowl; stir mixture to combine ingredients. Add 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, 2 slightly beaten eggs and 1 tsp. of vanilla; mix until completely blended together.

Roll heaping tablespoonfuls of batter into balls. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 13 to 15 minutes until tops are very lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then place cookies on wire racks to until completely cool. Makes: 2-1/2 dozen Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookies.
