What is container gardening?

Container gardening is a great way for those who live in condos, townhouses or apartments to have gardens right on their patios or balconies. They are also great for those who are renting houses and whose landlords aren't keen on a garden being planted.

Container gardening simply means that instead of having usual garden beds to grow fruits, veggies and flowers in, you instead plant everything in various sized pots that are individually planted with one or two plants per pot. If you love fresh tomatoes for example, you could have several containers of various tomatoes growing on your patio. Even things such as brocolli, lettuce, strawberries, even pumpkins can be grown in containers.

Container gardening is perfect for those on a budget who want to save money on their grocery bill by growing their own vegetables, but who lack the usual gardening space needed for this kind of adventure in growing produce.
