Wooden blinds can
be a total pain to clean, not to mention that they can take
quite a bit of time to clean. There are a few different ways
to tackle the blind cleaning job.
Using a sponge
is the most effective way to clean. Use hot water and a small
amount of dish soap to sponge them off. Then wipe them down
with a dry cloth. If you have white wooden blinds, be sure
to change the water frequently because dirty water can make
them dingy.
If you can easily
take the blinds down for cleaning, close the blinds and then
carefully lay them on the floor. Then using the brush attachment
on your vacuum cleaner, you can gently vacuum them clean.
When one side is cleaned, flip over to clean the other side,
then hang them back up in the window.
