How to unclog shower heads

Don't you hate it when your shower head starts getting clogged? But did you know it is likely mineral deposits causing the issue, and that shower heads can be easily cleaned to remove the deposits?

Here are instructions for cleaning both plastic shower heads and metal shower heads.

Metal Shower Head Cleaner

1/2 cup vinegar
1 quart water

Pour vinegar and water into a large saucepan or pot. Submerge the shower head, heat pot to boiling, and boil for 15 minutes. Rinse and re-attach to shower.

Plastic Shower Head Cleaner

1 pint white vinegar
1 pint hot water

Combine vinegar and water into large bowl. Submerge shower head and allow to soak for one hour. Rinse and reattach to shower.
