Fortunately, cleaning the inside of your dryer is a pretty easy thing to do. I’m going to take a damp cloth with a little bit of dishwashing soap and keep the inside of your dryer a quick scrub. Don’t really need to scrub all that hard, you’re more just giving it a general wipe down to remove any residue.
You also want to check the seals and the gaskets, and remove any dryer lint or hair that has built up in the filter area.
Also, you want to check the lint trap. You should be moving the lint before drying each load of laundry, because it will make your machine much more efficient at drying clothes, and you don’t need to worry about fire hazards. And then if you have a sin attachment on your vacuum cleaner, remove the lint trap and then give the inside of that area a quick vacuum to bring up any loose pieces of lint that may be trapped in there. And as a reminder, you want to check the dryer hose, well as the dryer vent outside to check for any blockages.
How often should you be washing the inside of your dryer? Depending on the usage, every few months is a good idea. You can also just get into a habit of every time you do a load of towels or dishcloths that you use one of those discs laws to give a quick clean to the inside of your dryer before the towels in the washing machine.
