If you’ve ever gotten new dishes, you have probably gotten annoyed when someone has cut something on a brand new plate and it leaves black or grey marks on your dishes. This can also happen from clanking a spoon on a bowl or a mug or simply scratching a fork along a plate to pick something up.
Most people think that once the scratches happen, they just have to live with them. But actually, you can remove the scratches from your dishes and your plates and bowls will look as good as new.
With a soft dish towel, spread some white paste toothpaste onto the cloth and then gently rub the marks until they disappear. Rinse with water and your dishes will look brand new once again.
The hardest part of this trick is usually just finding the ordinary white paste toothpaste. With so many kinds of toothpaste now with bright colours and sparkles in the gel, it won’t work as it should. The dollar store is a great place to find just the plain white paste toothpaste, as well as stores that have a larger selection of toothpaste.
