It is quite common to drop something tiny, such as an earring or a sewing needle, on carpet and then you can’t seem to find it in the carpet pile, especially if the carpet is a longer shag style carpet instead of the extremely short industrial carpeting.
There is any way way to find these tiny lost objects in carpet so they aren’t lost forever or end up getting some one hurt when they step on it, which is often the case.
Simply take your vacuum hose, and over the head place an old pair of nylons and secure it with an elastic band. Then simply vacuum the carpet area where you believe you lost the item, and the vacuum will suck it out of the carpet fibers where it will be easily spotted against the nylon. And the nylon will prevent the item from behind accidentally vacuumed up and likely lost forever unless you fancy the idea of digging through a vacuum bag full of dirt and dust.
