Once you get a
fruit fly infestation, it can be extremely difficult to rid
your house of them! Here is how to get rid of them without
having to use poison or insecticide.
First, remove the
source of the fruit flies as well as anything they may be
attracted to. This means you may need to store your apples
in the fridge instead of in a basket on the counter until
they are all gone.
Second, get a clean
spray bottle and fill it part way with rubbing alcohol. Then
spray the fruit flies with the rubbing alcohol. This will
make them drop to the counter or floor, and you can then easily
clean them up. It is much easier to get them this way than
try and catch them while they are flying around!
