How to clean your microwave

If you have ever heated up spaghetti sauce or anything else that tends to spit or splatter in your microwave, you know how tough it can be to get rid of those baked-on spots of food. And to boot, it isn't a fun job! But here is a way to make your microwave cleaning job a breeze!

Take a large bowl or 4 cup measuring cup - be sure it is microwave-safe! Fill 3/4 with water, add lemon juice and a wedge of lemon. Microwave on high for five minutes or until boiling. When it beeps, don't open the door, but let the steam do its work for 3-4 minutes. Then carefully remove bowl, and wipe down inside of microwave with a damp cloth. If you have a removeable turntable, pop it into some hot soapy water or the dishwasher to disinfect it.

Now you have a sparkly clean microwave!
