Whether you have
have to love to be on the carpet, or you have kids or family
members tromping dirt through the house, it is quite common
to have to deal with smelly carpets. Unfortunately most people
don't want to deal with the pricey carpet cleaner services
or go to the trouble of renting a carpet cleaner. But you
can actually freshen up your carpets by yourself for next
to nothing.
Next time you notice
that your carpets don't smell as fresh as you'd like, simply
grab a box of baking soda from the cupboard. Liberally sprinkled
over your entire carpet area and let it sit. if you are just
freshening up the carpets, let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes
then vacuum it up. You can let it sit overnight before vacuuming
if you are dealing with particularly smelly carpets.
The baking soda
acts as a neutralizer and neutralizes the smell in the carpets.
if you have a lot of carpet area to cover, you can purchase
baking soda in bulk to keep the cost even lower. And it will
cost only a fraction of the amount that the commercial products
that do exactly the same job cost.
