Flu season is upon us, but most of us don’t have time to make homemade chicken noodle soup to take to friends and family who are sick.  But we all know how being delivered chicken noodle soup can definitely help cheer you up when you are feeling miserable.  So make up some jars of chicken noodle soup mix, all layered in a jar, which you have ready to take to those who are sick on the spur of the moment, without having to do any immediate work.

All you have to do is follow this recipe and layer it into a small jar (2 cup jar size).  Attach the recipe, and you are done!  And if you want to be really thoughtful, include a package of fresh cooked chicken he or she can easily add when its made (just be sure your recipient can immediately put the chicken in the fridge to keep it fresh!  Want more soup recipes?  Click here.

I am thinking this might be good for Christmas as a turkey noodle soup, something for leftover turkey too!

The recipe is a good idea for a present, but when I’m sick, don’t bring me anything to cook. Once, I had some surgery done, so someone brought me a bushel of corn. I know the soup recipe is not that extreme, but if you want to be nice bring something ready to eat.
