Ginger Detox bath recipe
Make your own natural
ginger detox bath recipe to help detoxify your body. Be sure
to do this bath in the evening, as the combination of the
detox and the hot water will make you sleepy.
All you need is
either fresh grated ginger (preferred) or ginger essential
oil. You will want 2-3 tablespoons of freshly grated ginger
or 6-8 drops of ginger essential oil. If you have sensitive
skin, always spot test ginger on your skin before having this
bath!
You will want to
have hot water for this bath, as hot water is what is needed
to help detoxify as it opens the pores of the skin. Add the
ginger to the bathwater, then soak for 15-20 minutes, but
no more than 30 minutes. Keep water handy as well as a washcloth,
as this bath will make you sweat! Drink some water while you
are running the bath too.
Dry yourself off
after the bath, but don't be surprised if you continue sweating
for a couple of hours afterwards. It will make you sleepy,
so you may want to head straight to bed. Be sure to drink
water before going to bed, and have water handy if you wake
up in the night. Be sure to check with your doctor if you
have any conditions such as a heart condition or high blood
